Camping in Australia

The campsites in Australia are numerous and spacious!

General camping information

All the motorhome campsites are diferent. There are "powered sites" and "unpowered sites." Powered sites have electricity outlets which will allow you to plug in (with a suitable adapter) and recharge and use electrical equipment. All sites have facilities for refilling the motorhome water tank.

There are areas where you can camp outside of a formal campsite and spend just one night. These places are surrounded by nature and rare, as there are many well equipped campsites available.

In terms of budget concerns, the more equipped the site, the more expensive it will be. If your budget is limited, choose the less expensive sites - often they are surprisingly well situated and enjoyable.

Camping tip: It's better to camp in the north of the country in winter and in summer in the south.

BIG4 campsites are found throughout the country.
