Here is a surprising forest that you've certainly never seen anywhere else! In Arizona you will find a real desert made up of a forest of petrified tree trunks!

Not far from the legendary Route 66 in Arizona, is the Petrified Forest National Park. This park is both authentic and mysterious. It is made up of fossilized trees. North of the park, you will find the Painted Desert. As its name suggests, it is a true gradient of colours reflected on the rock.

This park is easy to reach from the towns of Albuquerque and Phoenix and you will have the chance to travel a portion of the legendary Route 66 in your motorhome.
