Swedish Lapland

Swedish Lapland

Located in the extreme north of Sweden and created in 1909, the Abisko National Park and its ultra-preserved wilderness extends over almost 80 km 2. Many activities are possible in a breathtaking Nordic setting.

Abisko National Park is a paradise for lovers of wilderness and hiking. The landscapes of fjords, canyons or waterfalls pass by in this corner of Swedish Lapland. The Trollsjön lake located at the bottom of the Kärkevagge valley and surrounded by imposing rock formations is the clearest lake in Sweden. Its crystal blue waters reflect the purity of the surrounding nature.

Hiking is the main activity of the site but it is also fly fishing, canoeing, caving or discovering the Sami culture. The oldest people of the country are characterized by reindeer husbandry for several centuries and its crafts made from natural materials.

A motorhome trip in the heart of Sweden is the perfect time to see some of the world's unique natural phenomena. In winter it is unthinkable to miss the famous Northern Lights which offer a magical spectacle. In summer, a phenomenon occurs in the highest latitudes where the sun does not set, it is the midnight sun.
