South Luangwa National Park

One of the Most Remarkable Reserves in Africa

Perhaps the most guarded secret in Africa, the National Parks and vast wilds of Zambia are slowly being discovered. The South Luanwa National Park is among the most beautiful spaces in the country, and certainly in the entire continent. Furthermore, it is quite easy to access, and possesses many options for camping.

This superb reserve spreads out over more than 9000 square km2. A completely reserved wild area, the park is home to diverse vegetation in the large forests and vast plains which are home to big cats like lions, leopards, hyenas and other impressive species like elephants, rhinos, hippopotamus, and monkeys. The park is also home to a large bird population, best observed during and after the rainy season.

A 4x4 is the ideal method to tour the park. It is the only method of transport that offers you access to the entire park, as there are zones that are impossible to access without a 4X4 vehicle. The park is also known for its famous hiking trails

Pick-up your camper from Livingstone and take the time to appreciate the wild and fascinating landscape. If you wish to extend the adventure, head on to discover Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana or even Namibia.
