This harsh winter has given us the desire to escape from the city in the early days of sunshine. Yet unfortunately the summer period is still far away ... So why not take advantage of the May and June bridges to organize small long weekends. It is not always easy to be short and efficient when you do not know the country of destination well. That is why, we offer some tips and ideas to organize small stays in Europe. We start the festivities with England. What? Leave my home for this rainy land? Think again ! Visiting us English friends during the spring, there is nothing better to regain your strength. The English countryside is not recognized enough for its beauty and yet .... you will love it. In addition, right now Eurostar offers tickets to 39 euros!

Run the Channel from East to West (Escape of 3/4 days)

Departure from London for Brighton. Between city, beach and countryside, there is something for everyone. You are advised to rent a bicycle to admire the city from above from Devil's Dyke. You will also find very good restaurants to taste some seafood. Then join Portsmouth to spend a day on the Isle of Wight. Finally join London or drive to Bournemouth, another seaside resort in the country. All along the coast you will appreciate to cross charming villages but also to look at France, from far, from the top of cliffs.

Dartmoore, Sherlock Holmes'park (Escape of 3/4 days from London)

Week-end 100% British, lose yourself in this other jewels of the kingdom of Queen Elizabeth where nature is totally queen. You will meet wild horses, trees forming natural tunnels. Surely one of our favorite places in the country ... Be careful the evening, it seems that the famous Sherlock always rode at night ... On the road to Dartmoore from London, stop at Stonehenge to look at the centuries-old menhirs.

The Lake District (Escape of 3/4 days from Manchester)

The lake region. Another kind of scenery with green mountains, white sheep and lakes of all sizes. You will like to walk there and to discover all these lakes as different as the others, in colors or size. The mountains offer magnificent views of the region. You will also enjoy stopping in the park's pubs to sip a beer or enjoy a "pie". On your way to / from Manchester, we advise you to follow the A69 road to see Hadrian's Wall.

The Peak District (Escape of 3/4 days from Manchester)

A real getaway in the countryside to walk in the woods and test gastro-pubs.

Cornwall,  the English Britanny (escape of 4/5 from London)

We totally fall for this part of the country! Impossible not to fall in love. The road is a bit longer since London so we suggest 4/5 days. Do not hesitate to go through Dartmoore to get there, the combo is a winner. Our favorite villages are: Saint Ives, Looe, Foway, Saint Mawes. Walk on Need to be seen: Minack Theater, Lizard Point, Exmooth Park, Porthleven Harbor.
