Abisko National Park

Swedish Lapland

Abisko National Park is located in the far north of Sweden and was established in 1909. It is a pristine wilderness that stretches over almost 80 km². Many activities are possible amidst this breathtaking Nordic scenery.

The park is a paradise for lovers of wide open spaces and hiking. The landscapes include fjords, canyons, waterfalls and lakes, such as Trollsjön Lake, the clearest lake in Sweden at the bottom of Kärkevagge Valley. Hiking is the main activity but other activities include fly fishing, canoeing, caving and learning about the Sami culture. In winter you will have the fanatastic opportunity to see the magical northern lights and in summer you can experience never-ending days during which the sun never sets.
