Patagonia

Towards the southernmost region in the world

Patagonia is a territory of nearly one million square kilometres unevenly distributed in Argentinean and Chilean regions. The Chilean side is characterized by numerous fjords and channels and the region can be divided into the northern and southern parts.

Northern Patagonia, the Aysen Region, can be explored along the Southern Highway (Carretera Austral) which extends over 1200 km. You will pass through landscapes of rivers, waterfalls, mountains and forests. Be sure to go to Pumalín Park and the beautiful Lake General Carrera. Southern Patagonia is the southernmost part of the world and is breathtakingly beautiful. Don't miss the Torres del Paine National Park (a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve), the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, Magellan Stait, Beagle Channel and Tierra del Fuego in the far south.
