Florida

A road trip in the Sunshine State

Florida is sunshine guaranteed all year round, white sandy beaches, coral reefs and nature parks with amazing fauna and flora. CampingCar-Online/Ramble Campervans suggests a list of places and parks to visit making your Florida motorhome road trip unforgettable.

Key West

The Florida Keys is made up of over a thousand islands forming an arc just off Florida up until Key West. Island hop using the gigantic bridges built over the turquoise waters between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.

Islamorada

You will appreciate a little stop in your motorhome in Islamorada, situated between the coral reef and the Everglades. Enjoy the local cuisine and the submarine diving museum.

Everglades National Park

This park is probably the only subtropical region of the USA, and evidence of the pre-salt marshes that covered nearly half of Florida. The area has an abundant fauna including pumas, lynx, pelicans, fish eagles, crocodiles and a large marine life. Flamingo Road, south of the park, will allow you to see a good number of these animals.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef Park

This was the first marine park in the USA and is home to coral reefs and many underwater plant and animal species. In Key Largo you can take a trip on a glass bottomed boat to better observe the seabed and its diversity.
