The Grand Canyon

A canyon of surreal dimension

Your motorhome holiday to one of the larger National Parks in the USA starts from Las Vegas, Los Angeles or Phoenix. The Grand Canyon is one of the most spectacular natural parks in the country and therefore is an inevitable step in your journey. You can explore this gigantic park on horseback or on foot.

To get to Grand Canyon National Park in your motorhome you can depart from Las Vegas, Los Angeles or Phoenix. You will see that the American roads are well suited for motorhome travel and can be easily navigated. The Grand Canyon is a major tourist destination in the USA and attracts people from all around the world. It is a splendid sight of cliffs, canyons and ravines spread over 450 km, with 350 species of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. Located between Lake Powell and Lake Mead, the park is accessible via two entrances: the north rim and the south rim, at a distance of 212 miles from each other. The north entrance is less touristic with a more wild and tranquil feel.

If you go to the south entrance, be sure to pass through Hermits Rest Route (accessible only by shuttle bus). You will enjoy the different views of the park, namely Hopi Point, Mohave Point, The Abbyss and Pima Point.

You will find many campsites from which you can easily access the park.
