Between May and July, late at night, the sun tilts below the horizon to begin its journey to the zenith. The spectacle is astonishing, one would think that we are at the time of twilight or sunset in the middle of the night.
To immortalize this phenomenon, the Midnight Sun Film Festival was created in the town of Sodankylä to highlight Lapland's culture.
