Alaska

Exploring igloo and eskimo land

Alaska is a huge wilderness and the perfect place to measure yourself against nature. Admire the polar landscapes, the northern lights in winter and the massive bloom of wild flowers in summer. Alaska is also rich in natural resources such as oil, natural gas, copper, zinc .....

Anchorage

The city used to be used as a stop-over for cargo ships en route to Asia. Local food products are good to try, especially the seafood, such as King salmon and King crab.

Denali National Park

This park is home to Mount McKinley, the highest point in North America. Travelling around the park is only allowed by bus in order to protect the wild nature. You are guaranteed to find campsites outside the park.

Glacier Bay National Park

This park is classified as a World Heritage Site and is only accessible by boat or plane. It is an amazing spectacle of Alaskan glaciers that drop huge masses of ice into black waters. Its marine reserve protects endangered species such as humpback whales.

Kenai Fjords National Park

This park, that was badly affected by the 1989 oil spill, has managed to reform its magical landscapes today. Dominated by the Harding Icefield, it is a succession of caves and arches that sculpt the horizon. Marine species such as dolphins, whales and orcas inhabit its waters.
