Despite being largely overtaken by man, Phillip Island still retains some of its natural beauty attracting many Australian familians and international tourists alike. Leave your motorhome at Phillip Island Caravan Park and explore the island on foot.

Phillip Island is famous for its little penguins, who, after a day of swimming and fishing, return to their land dwelling on the island at dusk. Between 300 and 800 penguins waddle ashore much to the delight of all, young and old! Other wild animals can be spotted on the island such as sea lions, koala bears, possums, wallabies and many birds.

The island also offers many sporting acitivites, both for amateurs and professionals. Woolami and Smiths Beaches attract many surfers, but beware of the dangerous currents. For a more peaceful and less risky experience, skilled professionals offer surfing courses and safe kayaking expeditions. There is also a Grand Prix circuit on the island and car racing has been happenining here since the 1920s. The Moto GP attracts many tourists each year and has become the most important annual event on the isalnd.
