Petrol and diesel

Where to find fuel in Australia

Petrol and service stations in Australia

The average cost of petrol in Australia is at $1.10/liter and diesel at $0.83/liter (in June 2020). But the price varies greatly from one State to another. The average price in Sydney is around $1.25 but in Darwin it is $1.2

Australia is very big and some areas are isolated and the population density is extremely low (especially in remote areas of the Outback). Although service stations are generally numerous and evenly distributed, it is wise to refuel regularly especially in remote areas.
